Financial Policies

Neuropsychological evaluation is a specialized medical service requiring substantial clinical time, preparation, and interpretation. We are committed to clear communication about fees and financial responsibility before services begin.

Insurance

Two Rivers Neuropsychology accepts select insurance plans.

Prior to testing, benefits are verified and estimated patient responsibility is reviewed with you. Insurance benefit quotes are estimates provided by your carrier and are not guarantees of payment.

Patients are responsible for deductibles, coinsurance, copayments, and non-covered services as defined by their plan.

Claims for covered services are submitted on your behalf when applicable.

Self-Pay

We welcome patients who prefer not to use insurance.

In accordance with federal law, self-pay patients receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining anticipated charges before services are provided.

If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than your estimate, you have the right to dispute it.

Advance Payments for Comprehensive Evaluations

Comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations require reserved testing time, scoring, interpretation, and report preparation.

For certain evaluations, an advance payment may be required prior to testing. Advance payments:

  • Are applied toward your anticipated financial responsibility

  • Are not additional fees

  • Are reconciled after insurance processing (if applicable)

Any overpayment is refunded.

Advance payment practices comply with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care regulations.

Credit Card on File

To streamline billing and minimize administrative burden, an active credit card is required at the time of scheduling. Charges are processed in accordance with your financial responsibility and applicable regulations.

Cancellation Policy

Because evaluation appointments require dedicated testing time that cannot easily be reallocated, 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

Late cancellations and missed appointments may incur a fee. These fees are not billable to insurance.

Financial Hardship

We recognize that circumstances vary. In limited situations, financial arrangements may be reviewed prior to services. Requests must be made in advance and are considered individually.

Questions

Financial policies are reviewed in detail during intake, and we encourage you to ask questions before scheduling. Our goal is clarity, not surprise.
